The Fund for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) offers funding and other assistance to journalists to produce impactful high-quality, objective, and nonpartisan investigative reports.
FIJ’s Board of Directors is looking for groundbreaking stories that expose wrongdoing such as corruption, malfeasance, or abuse of power in the public and corporate sectors.
FIJ has four types of grants:
Foreign-based stories must be submitted by American reporters or have a compelling U.S. angle involving American citizens, government, or business. The Fund encourages proposals written for ethnic media and submitted by journalists of color.
