CONGO BASIN RAINFOREST JOURNALISM FUND

JOURNALISM 360 CHALLENGE

Grant The Journalism 360 Challenge is an open call for ideas using immersive storytelling to discover new ways to engage audiences and advance the field of journalism.
Winners will receive a share of $100,000 for early-stage projects that help expand best practices for technologies including, but not limited to: 360 video, spatial audio, augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality.

EUROPEAN CROSS-BORDER GRANTS

Grant This awarded European Cross-Border Grant programme (running since 2009) will support professional journalists who have good ideas for cross-border investigations and for research on European affairs. The project may include cross-border research, networking between colleagues, and established and innovative investigative methods that are at the same time original, innovative and intensive.

FUNDING AND SUSTAINABILITY MEASURES TO SUPPORT MEDIA IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

COVID-19 has caused major disruptions to the lives of journalists and media professionals. Beyond issues faced in efforts to cover the crisis safely, journalists must also deal with severe financial uncertainty. To alleviate this, several companies and organisations are committing to financially support journalism and news media.

FUND TO SUPPORT LEBANON’S NEWS INDUSTRY

The Facebook Journalism Project, in collaboration with the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), has announced that it will invest $300,000 in a new program that aims to support the stabilisation and recovery needs of journalists and news organisations in Lebanon affected by the tragic explosion in Beirut on August 4.
