On 3rd May 2020, national and local celebrations for World Press Freedom Day will take place around the world, some in the form of online debates and workshops. UNESCO launched a global campaign on media and social media channels, with a focus on “Journalism without Fear or Favour”.
In order to help build a sense of shared community among our network, learn from one another, and support each other during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, GFMD hosted an informal, members-only Virtual Town Hall on 25 March 2020. The first Town Hall led to the development of a joint statement and a shared resource centre.
