The Global Forum for Media Development is trying to put together a list of links to useful studies on media development, training manuals, lessons learnt and quotes that highlight the importance of media to democratic and human development.

The ICFJ’s IJNet provides a weekly newsletter with a dozen or so short descriptions of current activities in the media aid world.

IFEX produces a weekly Communique with updates on the activities of its 64 members.

The University of Maryland’s Institute for Interactive Journalism produces a bi-monthly J-Flash as part of its J-Lab project.

The Communication Initiative produces The Drum Beat, a periodic (more or less weekly) thematic newsletter about aid projects’ communications work, some of which touches upon media assistance efforts.

The International News Safety Institute implements projects to preserve and enhance media workers’ safety and sends a monthly newsletter to its members.
