2010 The Monroe E. Price International Media Law Moot Court Competition

08.10.09

The Moot Court experience is a great one for law students from around the world seeking to gain an improved understanding of media law, litigation strategies, preparing arguments, and doing research in support of legal cases in the media law sector.

We have used the moot court as part of our training and support in the USAID-sponsored Jordan Media Strengthening Program, in partnership with Yarmouk University’s Faculty of Law, and it has been a very effective training tool, and opportunity to operationalize a lot of the concepts and real world issues students will face as future lawyers.  It has also been a very meaningful way to engage future legal professionals in the field of media law.  We’d be happy to share our experiences in how we have integrated the Moot Court experience into our media law and policy development work in Jordan if you are interested.

In the meantime, please do share this information with the people you work with.  You can find information about the Moot Court, the case for 2010, and application procedures online
